Hi, I’m Kristin. Kristin with an i if you will. I like to think of myself as a creator with several ideas that I allow to pass me by, which explains the reason for me starting this blog. I now have the opportunity to put all my ideas and projects someplace and share them with you. You will get to enjoy my insights and artistic endeavors with me.
According to Webster’s, art is a noun (making it something). It is
“the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”
When someone makes something from their inner soul and mind; they are putting something new and unique on this earth. Something that has never been seen, heard, read, or emotionally received before. It emphasizes our individuality and catches our attention. It is what becomes trendy for the masses, interesting and inspirational to the creative, explanatory and eye opening to the thinking, and debatable to the diplomats and politicians. This is why I make art. It represents me, you, and everything around us. It binds us.
First and foremost I consider myself an actor. At most a you tube sensation (lol.) I am a staff member of the online multi-media outlet Dog and Pony Show. I also like writing, photography, working on my dollhouse, and creating anything that comes to mind.
In the midst of me doing all this fun stuff that I do, I also have to work. I am currently a substitute teacher and after school coordinator. I graduated from the College of Staten Island in December 2007 with a degree in English Literature and minor in Italian.
